On paper, at a real scale.
Ctrl+P, or
/print.
/scale 1/4".A quarter inch to the foot means a quarter inch on the paper, measured with a real ruler. The scale is not the zoom: zoom in as far as you like and the print does not change.
/print full prints the drawing at 1:1 across as many sheets as
it takes. Every sheet is trimmed on a marked line, and the last strip of each
repeats the start of the next, so they stitch without a gap. That is how a
pattern comes off a desktop printer and onto the material.
/print all prints every sheet of the file in front.
/tiles writes the same tiles out as pictures instead - for a
print shop, or for seeing how many sheets it would take without using
any.
Guides, the grid, and the red-green-blue axis lines are working marks and never print. Dimensions, notes and edges do.
